Hermanus

Tucked into the folds of the Glen Valouch Mountains on the outskirts of Hermanus lies the picturesque Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. It is here that wine lovers can treat themselves to a unique wine tour among the southernmost vineyards in Africa.

The cool maritime climate and the right soil composition combine to make the valley the ideal location for the fussy Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay vines.

Hermanus is also the most visited town for whale watchers. Tourists and locals congregate here every year for the opportunity to watch these magnificent mammals from shore. You will be amazed how close to shore they come.
